Governor Abdulraof “Gob Sam” Macacua graced the “Turn-over Ceremony of the Newly Constructed Public Market” in the municipality of Buldon, yesterday, October 21.
This two-storey public market, funded by the Ministry of Interior and Local Government (MILG) aims to propel Buldon’s local economy by increasing and improving its revenue generation.
Highlighting Chief Minister Ahod “Al Hajj Murad” Ebrahim’s 12-Point Priority Agenda, this project also intends to help the LGUs to provide their constituents better access to marketing and employment opportunities.
Governor Macacua wishes that the public market would consistently serve its public purpose and increase the municipality’s economic activities.
“Sana, this public market na nakikita niyo, mapaunlad ang ekonomiya ng Buldon. Kailanganang magamit ang market na ito ng inyong mga constituents dahil mas mapapalago nito ang ekonomiya ninyo,” the Governor stated in his speech.
MILG Deputy Minister Ibrahim Ibay said that the public market would also serve as additional revenue generation for the people of Buldon.
He also highlighted that the public market is rooted from Moro culture and tradition by intricately incorporating and celebrating the local symbolism of Bangsamoro’s rich architectural heritage.
For her part, Mayor Pahmia Manalao-Masurong expressed her gratitude to the BARMM government. She stated that this new public market will enhance trading conditions and improve the quality of life of her constituents.
